Rusty Cunningham presented the La Crosse Tribune Extra Effort Awards.
The Rotary Club of La Crosse was honored to recognize some local high school students who have truly given the "extra effort" and overcome long odds to accomplish amazing things as they graduate high school. We awarded seven local students with a $250 scholarship. Congratulations to them and the supportive people - including family members, friends, teachers and school counselors - who helped them along the way.
As a reminder, we will be meeting in-person starting on July 1 at the Cargill Room at the Waterfront. Please start marking your calendar now so that we can see you.
95% of our club will be back in-person for first quarter of our Rotary year from July 1-September 30.
We will still be sending out a Zoom link each week even if you are on the in-person list for any Rotarian to jump on as needed.
A big thank you to our Strategic Planning Team. In four sessions, we took a deeper dive into Membership and Engagement, Rotary Foundation Giving, Service, Youth Leaders and Public Image. We'll be creating a writing team that will help convey this comprehensive plan and ways to incorporate into our club as we go forward. Thank you for the time and input put into this.
