The COVID-19 level for La Crosse County is measuring at a MEDIUM level at this time.
According to the CDC's guidelines, individuals in communities at this level should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms, but wear a mask indoors in public if you choose. However, additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness. People may choose to mask at any time. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining/isolating.
This Week at Rotary: Matt Boshcka and Austin Wszolek - Cannabis: The Current State of a Growing Industry
Matt and Austin will talk about the current state of the Cannabis industry.
Last Week at Rotary: Art Fahey, Tour of the La Crosse Convention Center
We met at the La Crosse Convention Center in one of their lovely, spacious meeting rooms. Art Fahey gave us a guided tour of the renovated facility after our meeting and lunch. We appreciated Art's stories about the background of the La Crosse Center and look forward to what the new facility will bring to the community.
Milk and iced tea will be available for you to pick up at the north bar as you find your seat. Cargill Room staff will also be happy to deliver a glass of milk or iced tea to you while they're serving the meal.
Note: If you prefer to keep your mask on during the entire meeting, you will be provided a boxed lunch to take home with you.
Donate Desperately Needed!
Once again, the Youth Committee will be sponsoring the annual “Rotary Extra Effort” awards that will be held during our May 19th meeting. This program celebrates the accomplishments of 8 local high school students who have overcome significant obstacles in their young lives. As has been the case in previous years, the Club would like to present a $250 award to each recipient of the award, and we are asking club members to consider donating money to make this happen. This is always one of the Club’s favorite meetings, but we can’t continue with this program without the generosity of club members. If interested in donating, please contact Tom Berkedal at tberkedal55@gmail.com with your donation details.
Tom will also be at this week’s meeting if you would like to donate. All checks should be made out to Rotary Club of La Crosse and given/sent to Niki. Thanks!
