This week at Rotary you will hear about our Centennial Project Fundraiser - Growing Hearts Across the World. Todd Restel will give an overview of our project. Eva Marie Restel will be giving the cultural/art aspect of the project and Lee Rasch will update us on our fundraising and your opportunity to support our 100 year anniversary project.

If no written objection to the proposal stating reasons is received by the Board of Directors from any member of the club within seven days following publication of the name of the prospective member, the prospective member shall be considered to be elected to membership.
As you know our Youth Exchange Student for the 2017-18 year is Rebeca from Parana, Brazil. Rebeca will be traveling out East on the Rotary Youth Exchange trip from June 9th through June 23rd. Thank you to all who helped fund her trip and the additional spending money.
Are you going to have a family gathering or attend a special event....ask Rebeca to join your family. Your family will gain a new global perspective, many memories and quite possibly a new family member for life. She will be heading back home on July 17th, so time is running short if you want to spend time with her.
Rebeca's last meeting with us will be June 28th!
A little insight on Rebeca...she is a member of a Interact Club...she enjoys being part of something that serves humanity. She enjoys watching movies, reading books, taking pictures, meeting new places and going out with her family, usually at a park to play volley. She intends to do an undergraduate course in cinema and work in film directing. She chose this path when she was in 9th grade while doing theater in school.

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped plant 300 trees at Camp Decorah last Saturday morning. Tree Planting, lunch and social were enjoyed by all. We had archery, paint ball, zipline, climbing tower, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. A special thanks to Sean and Maudra Henneman and COMPANY. They catered our meal and organized the activities for the day.

Every year the nine area Rotary Clubs gather for a celebration of club projects and honor members that have lived the Service Above Self motto. Clubs will also honor their Rotarians of the Year. This year our Avenues of Service Banquet will be Tuesday, August 14 at the Lunda Center at WTC. The celebration will begin at 5:30 with a social. This is a fundraiser for our Rotary Works Foundation. We hope you will save the date. It is a great night of fellowship and celebration. More information will come closer to the date.

Corporate Membership is a program to allow multiple employees of a business Rotary participation under one primary membership. Each corporate membership is limited to a three-year term. After the three-year corporate membership term, the individuals are required to become individual members. View Corporate Membership Policy.
Family Membership is a program to allow a second individual Rotary participation under one primary membership. View Family Membership Policy.
Honorary Membership is offered to members who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals. View Honorary Membership Policy.
Excused Membership is offered to members if the aggregate of the member’s years of age and years of membership in one or more clubs is 85 years or more, the member has been a member of one or more clubs for at least 20 years, and the member has notified the club's secretary in writing of the member’s desire to be excused from attendance and the board has approved. Excused Members will pay the quarterly dues of $76 and only for meals when they attend a meeting.
Membership Proposals....we will no longer ask for three references when you propose a new member. This was a criteria that our club had set not RI. This will help us process new members into our club more efficiently. You can access the membership proposal form online, under the Club Information site page.
