Temporary Member Hardships
There have been instances over the last year where a few members have reach out expressing a temporary hardship and contemplate leaving the club. Rob and Niki are putting together a list of members we might call on that would consider helping to cover another member's dues for a quarter should this be the case. If this is something you might consider, please reach out to Niki Pohnl and let her know.

RIVER CLEAN UP - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
'The Environmental Committee, with the support of our Rotary Board, will again assist the community group, River Cleanup La Crosse 2023.
We are still looking for a few more volunteers:
We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to work at the Trempealeau boat landing in Trempealeau WI on Friday, May 12 from about 7:30 am to noon. WE WILL NOT BE PICKIN UP TRASH. Our club will take the role of assigning volunteers to areas to pick up and then help make sure the trash that is returned gets put in the right bins so it all can get properly disposed of. This day is corporate River Cleanup day. The volunteers for the Trempealeau clean up will come from Trane Co and it is anticipated that there will be 80-100 volunteers.
Secondly, we are looking for volunteers for the community pick up day on Saturday, May 13th from 8 am to noon. Several Interact clubs will be joining us to help. You are welcome to include your own family. Our Rotary River Cleanup will focus on the La Crosse River and Marsh from the Mississippi River east and will include the roadways and trails in and along the river and marsh. So, most of the cleanup will be done on foot. However, if anyone is up to it, it also could mean we have a few canoes travel down the La Crosse River from some point to the east.
