County Health Department Update
The COVID-19 level for La Crosse County is measuring at a HIGH level at this time.
Per current CDC guidelines, when a county is in high COVID risk level, wearing masks indoors is encouraged.

According to the CDC's guidelines, individuals in communities at this level should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms, but wear a mask indoors in public if you choose. However, additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness. People may choose to mask at any time. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining/isolating
This Week at Rotary: Carol Abrahamzon, Mississippi Valley Conservancy's 25th Anniversary

Carol Abrahamzon is the Executive Director at Mississippi Valley Conservancy. She has over 20 years of experience with non-profit management and donor relationship cultivation.  She and her husband Bill, own a sustainable farm in southeast Minnesota where they grow beef, pork, chicken, and most of their own fruits and vegetables. They employ conservation practices on their farm including wildlife enhancement projects, invasive species removal, and a forest stand improvement program. In her free time Carol enjoys running in nature, competing in triathlons, gardening, nature photography, and spending time with her family including her five grandchildren.

Missssippi Valley Conservancy is an accredited nonprofit land trust that works with conservation-minded landowners who choose to permanently protect land through conservation easements and land acquisition efforts. The Conservancy also owns and manage public nature preserves and works to restore native habitats to enhance biodiversity and protect declining species in this time of global climate change.

In this 25th Anniversary year, Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s theme is Protecting the Driftless for Them. Our work helps protect water, wildlife, fresh foods, outdoor recreation, local economies, and climate for the benefit of all.

The Conservancy serves the Wisconsin counties of Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and Vernon.
