Last Week:  Sam Scinta and Lauren Harris, the La Crosse Chamber of Commerce

We heard from Sam Scinta, the new CEO of the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Chamber's Workforce Strategies Director Lauren Harris, about the La Crosse Chamber, where it has been, and importantly, where it is going in 2026 and beyond. We discussed the mission of the Chamber and why the Chamber is so excited about the future of the La Crosse region, with a sneak preview of some upcoming programs.

FOUNDATION MINUTE: November 2, 2025

Welcome to Week ONE of RI’s Foundation Month.

This week’s FM is culled from the Foundation’s Trustee Chair published in the current edition of Rotary Magazine. Trustee Chair Holger Knaack calls on Rotarians to consider several ways TRF keeps making the world a better place for everyone on our planet while charging them to “…go beyond the local level and engage with The Rotary Foundation globally.”

He wants Rotarians to partner with local and international clubs
to fund RF’s projects around the world like literacy in Guatemala, or malaria in Zambia. “You can make a difference with clean water initiatives reaching millions or maternal health programs saving lives across continents…It doesn’t stop there. Through major
impact projects like Programs of Scale, we’re pursuing bold initiatives that push Rotary’s potential to create lasting change further. Greater impact and greater visibility: this is our
path forward…Rotary remains committed to its pledge to raise $50 million again this year...Our fundraising goal for 2025-26 is an ambitious $500 million…I urge everyone—especially newcomers to Rotary –to explore these opportunities. Find your passion among our areas of focus and discover projects to support, especially
through global grants…We have incredible opportunities before us, and the impact we achieve together through The Rotary Foundation is exponential. The proof is undeniable.”
