County Health Department Update
The County Health Department is strongly recommending that anyone over the age of two (2) wear a mask in public indoor spaces AND at indoor private gatherings. This guidance also applies to those who have been vaccinated.  Hand sanitizer will be at each table for your convenience. Meals will be plated and served to you.

Last Week at Rotary: Bob Poehling, Behind the Scenes Stories from the 2022 Winter Olympics

Bob is the Athletic Development Coordinator (Women's Alpine) for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Olympic Team.

Bob report on his third Olympics attended with the US ski team as staff. Bob shared stories of what it was like in China for the coaches and team members, behind-the-scenes stories, and shared a glimpse at what the Olympics is like for the athletic teams that get to go. 

Jack Haase was recognized last week for his 36 years (1985-2021) as Youth Exchange Officer.
Jack has affected the lives of more than 75 Rotary International Inbound and Outbound students for the Rotary Club of La Crosse, more than 200 host families, and countless Rotarians in the Coulee Region.
District 6250 and the Rotary Club of La Crosse (Club 2690) is forever grateful for the time and talent Jack has given to our Youth Exchange Program.

Meal for This Week

The meal will be  Tomato Bisque Soup and TWF House Salad.
Announcement: Milk and iced tea will be available for you to pick up at the north bar as you find your seat. Cargill Room staff will also be happy to deliver a glass of milk or iced tea to you while they're serving the meal. 
 
Note: If you prefer to keep your mask on during the entire meeting, the Cargill Room can provide you with a boxed lunch to take home with you - but we need to know in advance. Please email rotary@rotarycluboflacrosse.org.
 

Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief Fund

Rotary Western Great Lakes District Conference "TriCon" April 29 - 30, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

The Rotary Western Great Lakes District Conference, intended for any Rotarian, not just leadership, is set for Friday April 29 and Saturday April 30, 2022. Attendance will be in person at The Osthoff Resort, Elkhart Lake, WI. Attendees from Districts 6220, 6250 and 6270 will have the opportunity to gain useful skills that can be used in their Rotary club, and inspiration that will motivate them to embrace Rotary even more. Internationally-known featured speakers will provide keen insights about their passion projects during the addresses on both days.

2021 Council on Resolution

Our Board of Directors recently signed a petition requesting the RI Board to approve Council on Resolutions item 21R-28 To Consider Encouraging all Rotarians to Oppose the Growing Problem of Modern-day Slavery.
