This week at Rotary : Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
DEI Group

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee will be facilitating discussions on bias free
language. Although they are not experts, they have some researched tips that can help facilitate our discussions.
Last week at Rotary : CDC - The Inside Scoop
Dr. Kathy Poehling is a professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology and Prevention at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

She talked about her background on the community impact of vaccines and how she uses this expertise on a CDC Advisory Board. Her specialization in pneumococcal and influenza vaccines was especially useful during the pandemic.

Dr. Poehling shared what we can do in La Crosse to help increase the percentage of people who get vaccinated.
Meal for this week
