Our presenter this Thursday will be Tennille Spears from the Salvation Army.  Program will be Eviction Diversion/Self-Sufficiency Program.

Reminder we will be collecting food and monetary donations for the Interact iFeed Project.  Those that write a check (Rotary Works Foundation) will be included in a drawing for gift cards from Grounded Specialty Coffee and Apothic.  Bring your bags of food this week!  Support our Interact Students...we will divide our collection between all the clubs.  If you write out a check and would like it to go to a specfic school, please note that in the memo of the check.

Polio Plus Drive will continue through November 30th....all members that donate $100 or more, the club will match with Foundation Points.  You can become a Paul Harris by donating $500.  Thanks to all who donated last week....$2,500 was collected!!!

Our exchange student Anni, from Finland gave us a wonderful program on her family and where she lives.  Anni is a delightful young lady and speaks fluent English.  Everyone that heard her presentation left wanting to get to know Anni better.  Anni is hosted right now by Rotarian Robin and Richard Moses.  We are hoping that all members will give Anni a year that she will never forget.  We hope you will think of Anni when you have family gatherings and outings.  A great opportunity for your family to experience first hand the many cultures of a different country and a lifetime friendship....without leaving home!

Reminder if you plan to be one-on-one with Anni, you will need to have a background check, paid for by the club.  Click here to fill out the online form.

Our Youth Exchange Program exists because of our active Youth Exchange Committee (Chair Jack Haase, Kelly Barton, Tara Johnson, Jeanne Meyer, Maria Norberg, Bill Pritchard, Michelle Skemp, Anne Snow and Mary Stanek) AND because of the willingness of families to open their hearts and homes.  Thank you to all those that help make our Youth Exchange Program such a success.  If you would like to be on the Youth Exchange Committee...email rotarylax@charter.net....be a part of changing a young student's life forever.

We also had as our guest Joe Ruskey, District 6250 Foundation Chair.  He presented our club with a check for $3,600.  This is money that comes back to our District from members in District 6250 giving to the annual fund of Rotary International Foundation. Our World Service Committee applied for the matching grant.   He presented the check to Lee Rasch, WTC President,  Mike Swenson, WTC Foundation Executive Director and Kelly Krieg-Sigman, Director La Crosse Public Library....the money has been ear marked for the Cameroon Library Project. An intern will be arriving to work with employees at the La Crosse Library.  We hope to be hearing more about the project in the near future.

The Youth Committee hosted students of the month from Aquinas, Central and Logan.
