County Health Department Update
The COVID-19 level for La Crosse County is measuring at a HIGH level at this time.
Per current CDC guidelines, when a county is in high COVID risk level, wearing masks indoors is encouraged.

According to the CDC's guidelines, individuals in communities at this level should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms, but wear a mask indoors in public if you choose. However, additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness. People may choose to mask at any time. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining/isolating

A Message From Rob Palmberg, Club President, regarding club finances:

Rotary Club of La Crosse Members,

I wanted to let you know about some changes to club bills that you will be receiving shortly from Niki.  The Board approved last week some small increases to your quarterly bill for this Rotary year.  The increases are driven by higher costs in District and Rotary International dues, as well as modest meal increases (less than 5%) from the Cargill room despite inflationary pressures.  With this budget the Club will be passing through actual current costs in the updated bills.  As always, the budget and associated revenue and expenses are re-evaluated each year.  Feel free to contact me at rob.palmberg@gmail.com with any concerns or for additional information.

Rob Palmberg
Club President

The Rotary Mobile Clinic Arrives Aug. 4th
Reveal at Moontunes at 6:30pm
The Coulee Region has many uninsured, underinsured and a significant immigrant population that are in great need of basic healthcare. Often they do not have the ability to travel by car to the limited free clinic facilities currently available. In 2020, Rotarians from each of the area clubs formed a task force and set out to help improve the lives of many in our community. From it, the Rotary Mobile Clinic was born.

Over $80,000 was raised through individual donations and Rotary Club contributions to make a mobile clinic a reality. An additional $151,000+ was granted from District 6250 and the Rotary International Foundation. The vehicle will be owned and operated by St. Clare Health Mission and will provide family practice clinical services, preventative care, flu vaccine clinics, youth sports physicals, lab draws, mental health and pharmacy services to adults and children without health insurance.

We appreciate your help in spreading the word among Rotarians, friends and family. It would be great to pack the park for this momentous occasion.
