Last Week: Diana DiazGrandos; Community Wellbeing Director at Great Rivers United Way
Diana shared successes and lessons learned from Better Together, an eight-year countywide youth mental health initiative funded by the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment. She will outline the vision for a new partnership between Great Rivers United Way and the Mental Health Coalition of Greater La Crosse, aiming to build on this foundation to address resource gaps, reduce stigma, and promote community-wide wellbeing.

Our Rotary team will be preparing a meal at Sheila Riley's home on Wednesday, February 12th. The second part of our team will make final preparation, serve, and clean up on Thursday, February 13th. All are welcome to dine with the guests. Project volunteers will be asked to provide a few ingredients for the meal.
If you are unable to assist in person, we are also asked to provide homemade desserts for the dinner. These desserts can be dropped off at our noon Rotary meeting on the 13th or by contacting Sheila Riley direct to make arrangements. Simple fall recipes will be provided for you to choose from.
The opportunity is sponsored by the Humanitarian Committee and the Cooking Fellowship.
Note: You don't have to be a Rotarian to sign up. Feel free to sign a friend or family member up with you if you wish!
TriCon brings together members from three Rotary International Districts: 6220, 6250, and 6270. These districts serve clubs in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a portion of Minnesota, and most of Wisconsin.
At TriCon, participants learn, are inspired, and grow through interactive workshops, plenary speakers, and networking opportunities. All this truly makes TriCon an outstanding Rotary conference experience.

A message from Randy Sproule, Chair of Rotary District 6250 Polio Plus Committee to President Jolivette:
Mark--
Earlier today I had the opportunity to review the updated list of District 6250 contributions to Polio Plus. The records indicate that the members of the Rotary Club of La Crosse contributed $21,667 to Rotary's polio eradication program during the month of December alone and have contributed more than $27,574 year to date. No other club in our District has ever contributed that much money to Polio Plus in one month and your club's yearly totals will almost certainly be the most ever given by a club in our District in the 40-year history of Rotary's fight to eradicate polio. Your contributions will be matched twice by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and will enable Rotary International to provide polio vaccines to more than 165,000 children.
On behalf of those 165,000 children I want to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to you and your fellow club members. Thank you for being Rotarians! Thank you for making a difference!
Yours in Rotary,
Randy Sproule
Chair, Rotary District 6250 Polio Plus Committee
FOUNDATION MINUTE: January 20, 2025
Welcome to Week THREE of RI’s Month of Vocational Services.
Rotary District 6920 has been awarded a $25,000 Disaster Relief Grant from The
Rotary Foundation to support ongoing recovery efforts in communities impacted by
Hurricane Helene. This funding is designated to aid affected areas by providing
essential resources such as food, water, and hygiene assistance, offering vital relief
to residents in need. Ten Rotary Clubs within the district, including the Rotary Club of
Downtown Statesboro, have been awarded $2,500 each to fund community-specific
disaster relief projects. The projects collectively will benefit more than 7,000 people and more than 200 Rotarians will be involved in implementing the projects. The Rotary Club of Downtown Statesboro will use its $2,500 grant to provide food for The Statesboro Food Bank. The Food Bank currently serves 310 families per week. The average per family is 3 members, this is 930 individuals per week. This grant donation benefits individuals from all walks of life and of all ages in Bulloch County by providing them with 3 meals per day for one week. Rotary District 6920 covers a wide range of cities in the southeastern part of Georgia, including both coastal and inland communities.
