County Health Department Update
The County Health Department is strongly recommending that anyone over the age of two (2) wear a mask in public indoor spaces AND at indoor private gatherings. This guidance also applies to those who have been vaccinated.  Hand sanitizer will be at each table for your convenience. Meals will be plated and served to you.
This Week at Rotary: Judson Steinback,
Renewing the Pollinating Project
Judson Steinback is a co-owner and founder of Coulee Region Ecoscapes (CRE). CRE provides sustainable landscaping, the highest standards of workmanship and respect for the environment.  Judson and his team were leaders on the Food Forest at the Dahl YMCA and the Edible Schoolyard at Hamilton Elementary School, both of which offer free, local food in opportunity zones in
La Crosse.

Now, CRE is the leading project design and installer for the Renew the Block project in which our Rotary Club of La Crosse will be helping to fundraise for the pollinator patches. Judson and his team have extensive knowledge on what native plant species to grow in certain locations, how to grow them and why we should all be incorporating more pollinator-friendly plants into our landscapes.

Next Week at Rotary: Paul Harris Celebration and Presentation

Rotary Lights Tear Down Help Needed

Thank you to everyone who helped put the Rotary Lights this season. Tear down has begun. If you have a few extra hours, stop down at the park any day this week to help with tear down. They are sure to put you to work!

Missing a Pin?

The past few weeks we have found pins on the floor of the Cargill Room after our meetings. Please check in with Niki Pohnl if you find you are missing one from your lanyard, sweater, jacket, etc. She may have found it.

Just for Fun: A Note Received Through Rotary Lights

I know the beginning of the month was crazy with the weather and tragic destruction of some of the displays this year, however; I wanted to say thank you for working so hard to open back up before Christmas, I can’t begin to imagine the long hours everyone put in to make it possible. As a Nurse, seeing the β€œThank You Healthcare Heroes” display for healthcare workers was amazing. It was so nice to feel appreciated by the community as it has been a very strenuous and exhausting time fighting this pandemic. πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€βš•οΈ

I also wanted to say thank you because on Monday evening my boyfriend proposed to me at the park near the tunnel of lights. Going to the Rotary Lights has been a tradition for my kids and I for many years and now this year was even more memorable than ever!!! The Rotary Lights will now have an even bigger place in my heart for the years to come!
