Her program will be "Supervised Visit and Exchange Program."
The Family Exchange Program offers a safe and nurturing place where parents can exchange their children for time with mom or dad or have the support of supervised visitation. Family Exchange is available to any family with at least one parent living in La Crosse County.
PAST DUE ACCOUNTS: We have sent out past due statements by email last week. Please let me know if you have any questions. At this time we have $20,000 outstanding and would appreciate everyone taking the time to get their account current.
We will now have the sergeant-at-arms involved in tracking those members who are not current and sending out notices. David Amborn will be contacting those members within the next two weeks if you have not made payment.
INFORMATIONAL: We send out invoices each quarter, January, April, July and October. We use the QuickBooks Program and you receive it by email...you can make a payment online through your bank account. You can not view your account online in ClubRunner. When invoices are sent out...Lyn will let everyone know that in the newsletter and the president will announce at the podium...this way in case your invoice did not make it to your inbox you can contact Lyn for a copy.

DISTRICT CONFERENCE 6250 ADVERTISING & SPONSORSHIP
The 2017 Rotary Conference for District 6250 will bring together members of 63 Rotary Clubs and communities to celebrate Rotary service and fellowship. It’s also an opportunity for Rotarians and their colleagues to shine as conference sponsors and advertisers.
Program advertisers, support Rotary and at the same time, showcase your business in the conference program. Conference programs will be given to all 400+ Rotarian business leaders and professionals expected to attend.
Conference sponsors, underwrite an event or activity and support Rotary Clubs throughout District 6250. As a sponsor, you will be listed in the District conference program and your business will be recognized for the sponsorship with an easel poster and from the podium at your event or activity.
Every Rotarian is Responsible for Membership Growth
If no written objection to the proposal stating reasons is received by the Board of Directors from any member of the club within seven days following publication of the name of the prospective member, the prospective member shall be considered to be elected to membership.

District 6250 is undertaking a very special promotion to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of The Rotary Foundation. Youth Exchange Committee: Our club's next exchange student will be Rebeca from Brazil. She should arrive around the middle of August. Please review the letters from her and her mother to get to know her better. Click here to view letters.
We are currently looking for one host family. We have two families, one that will host when she arrives and the other will be her third host family. Each family would host for 3 to 4 months. To hear about the benefits of hosting, please talk to Lisa Herr or Robin Moses, both of whom recently have hosted.
To host:
-- you can live in La Crosse, Onalaska, La Crescent or anywhere in the Coulee Region.
-- you may have no children at home, or younger children, or children around Rebeca's age of 16.
-- thus, all 170 members of our club are eligible to host.
-- if you cannot host for some reason, please suggest someone who can.

Rotary International President John Germ has encouraged us this year to be "Rotary Serving Humanity". As I visited the 63 clubs in District 6250, I have seen evidence in every club where we are living up to this, both locally and internationally. Even more powerful, we are working together with our friends as we make meaningful differences in the lives of others.
I encourage you to celebrate Rotary friendship and Rotary progress with your fellow Rotarians in La Crosse. At District Conference 2017 we will learn about some of the outstanding projects happening as a result of the efforts of our District's clubs and assistance from The Rotary Foundation. We will have opportunity to learn more about specific Rotary roles and programs at District Assembly and at workshops. We will hear from several young people whose lives have been changed forever by Rotary Youth programs. We will hear inspiring messages about service and philanthropy from Rotarian and non Rotarian keynote speakers. Probably most important of all, we will meet and talk with Rotarians from all around our District, taking home new ideas to improve our clubs.
Join me in La Crosse to renew old friendships and make new ones in Rotary. May Rotary friends and Rotary ways continue to help us serve.

Honorary Membership is offered to members who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals. Honorary membership is the highest distinction that a club may bestow and should be conferred only in exceptional cases. Honorary members cannot propose new members to the club or hold office and are exempt from attendance requirements and club dues. Honorary members will continue to receive The Rotarian Magazine compliments of the club.
Excused Membership is offered to members if the aggregate of the member’s years of age and years of membership in one or more clubs is 85 years or more, the member has been a member of one or more clubs for at least 20 years, and the member has notified the club's secretary in writing of the member’s desire to be excused from attendance and the board has approved. Excused Members will pay the quarterly dues of $70 and only for meals when they attend a meeting.
Membership Proposals....we will no longer ask for three references when you propose a new member. This was a criteria that our club had set not RI. This will help us process new members into our club more efficiently. You can access the membership proposal form online, under the Club Information site page.

Caledonia Rotary Cabin Fever Event: The event will take place on March 24th from 5:30 to about 7:30 p.m. at the Ma Cal Grove Country Club just south of Caledonia on State Hwy 44/76. Kwik Trip Scrip cards are available for sale after and before our meetings. Kwik Trip recently made changes to this fundraiser. We will get 5% off the face value of each card...if the card is used IN STORE for purchases we will receive another 10%- total 15% back (some exclusions apply)....if used only for gas we will only get the initial 5%. Please support our fundraiser.
The board approved donating $1,000 of our scrip profits to River Watch. We will present a check to River Watch at one of our upcoming meetings. By you supporting our Kwik Trip fundraiser our club can support local projects within our community.
We usually have around $800 worth of scrip cards on hand...if you plan to purchase a larger quantity it is best you email Lyn so she can place an order for you (takes a couple days to process).
