We thank Diane Bosshard for telling her story of their family cranberry farm.
Patt Boge announced our Rotarian of the Year....David Amborn.
Anne Snow nominated David...
I believe David Amborn should be the 2016-17 Rotarian of the Year for our club because David Amborn lives the four way test in all that he does. He has overseen the downtown Fruit Basket fundraiser for years, offered his help with convention and every other Rotary need that is asked of him. He has the highest ethical standards and retired from Gundersen Lutheran Foundation after years of fundraising and community giving. He continues to serve the Community Theater, The Children's Museum and the Parenting Place in leadership positions, helping our community to be the best it can be. He has taken an active interest in exchange students in the past, making sure they get to community events and feel welcomed.
I can think of no one who is more deserving, who continues to be active in Rotary year after year, tirelessly and willingly accepting roles wherever needed.
David is currently serving on our Board of Directors and is our Sergeant-at-Arms. He is a past La Crosse Rotary Foundation President and Club President (2009-10).
David will be recognized at our July 6th meeting and the Avenues of Service Dinner on August 15th.
