The COVID-19 level for La Crosse County is measuring at a HIGH level at this time.
Per current CDC guidelines, when a county is in high COVID risk level all persons should wear a mask while indoors in public to reduce risk of spreading COVID. We encourage our members to wear masks for the safety of others.
According to the CDC's guidelines, individuals in communities at this level should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms, but wear a mask indoors in public if you choose. However, additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness. People may choose to mask at any time. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining/isolating.
This Week at Rotary: Extra Effort Awards

Note: If you prefer to keep your mask on during the entire meeting, you will be provided a boxed lunch to take home with you.
There is still time to donate!
Once again, the Youth Committee will be sponsoring the annual “Rotary Extra Effort” awards that will be held during our May 19th meeting. This program celebrates the accomplishments of 8 local high school students who have overcome significant obstacles in their young lives. As has been the case in previous years, the Club would like to present a $250 award to each recipient of the award, and we are asking club members to consider donating money to make this happen. This is always one of the Club’s favorite meetings, but we can’t continue with this program without the generosity of club members. If interested in donating, please contact Tom Berkedal at tberkedal55@gmail.com with your donation details.
Tom will also be at this week’s meeting if you would like to donate. All checks should be made out to Rotary Club of La Crosse and given/sent to Niki. Thanks!
Program Ideas? Willing to Volunteer?
My name is Mark Jolivette, and for our next club year, I will be our club's Program Chair. I am asking your help in making sure we continue to have informative and entertaining programs.
Have you heard a great speaker at a conference? Or at a business meeting? Or do you know someone from your workplace, your place of worship, your hobby group who has a story, idea or inspiration to share? We know there are many great presenters in our Coulee region, and we can also continue to get speakers nationally through the Zoom platform. Please help by sending me your suggestions of persons or topics you would enjoy hearing.
Of course, this includes our ever popular classification talks. Whether you are a long-time member or a new member, we would love to learn more about your life, your family, your work and what motivates you and gives you joy.
Secondly, we need duty roster coordinators for each month to help fill in the volunteer list for each meeting.
Contact Mark Jolivette here! He would love to hear your suggestions plus your willingness to speak and to serve.
