This Week:  Richard Strauss, Classification Talk

Richard was born in Chicago, grew up in Syracuse, NY, and went to college in Evanston, IL. He met his wife in Chicago before going on to medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico, and New York City.

Richard went to pediatric residency in Syracuse and worked in Albany for two years as an academic pediatrician. He completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at UW-Madison before moving to the La Crosse area in 1988 where he practiced general pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric critical care, and pediatric sedation at GHS.

He has three adult children, eight grandchildren, two brothers, and one cat. Richard's biological parents and step-father are no longer alive.

Richard enjoys working, playing with children and grandchildren, traveling to near and far off places, many different sports, volunteering, learning other languages, and lunch on Thursday.
