The COVID-19 level for La Crosse County is measuring at a HIGH level at this time.
Per current CDC guidelines, when a county is in high COVID risk level, wearing masks indoors is encouraged.
According to the CDC's guidelines, individuals in communities at this level should stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms, but wear a mask indoors in public if you choose. However, additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness. People may choose to mask at any time. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or test positive, we ask that you follow the CDC guidelines for quarantining/isolating.
THIS Week at Rotary: Peter Grabow, Classification Talk
Peter will reflect on Rotary, his life, and his family.
This Week: Bill Doherty, Braver Angels
Bill Doherty is a co-founder of Braver Angels and the creator of the Braver Angels workshop approach. The broadcast link to this meeting is below.
Braver Angels is a nonpartisan/nonprofit organization formed in 2016. They seek to depolarize American politics. Their work is rooted in grassroots organizing, assisting local communities to use the Braver Angels workshop approach to help participants bridge the political divide. From the first Braver Angels workshop, they now have scaled to more than 1,000 workshops and tens of thousands of participants nationwide. The root of their organizing begins in the transformation of our attitudes towards each other. The foundation of all their activities is what they refer to as patriotic-empathy: the idea that our love for our country is shown by our concern for our fellow citizens. They have been involved with many Rotary clubs, districts, and conferences. For more information, go to braverangels.org.
Milk and iced tea will be available for you to pick up at the north bar as you find your seat. Cargill Room staff will also be happy to deliver a glass of milk or iced tea to you while they're serving the meal.
Note: If you prefer to keep your mask on during the entire meeting, you will be provided a boxed lunch to take home with you.

As a fellow Rotary member, I greet you as a friend and I mean it! Friendship and fellowship are essential ingredients to the recipe that makes Rotary special. Your District 6250 leadership cares (a lot) about our friendship and we want to make sure we're doing our best to fulfill our promise to strengthen and support all our clubs.
Please see the below link to a brief survey that will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback is so valuable and I'm certain that the 5 minutes you spend will come back in meaningful change and support for you and your club.
While I'm not too shy to beg you to take the survey, I rather save some dignity, and encourage you by offering a shot at a $50 gift card to a local restaurant or business of your choice (I'm buying!). Simply complete the survey (we'll need your name if you want a shot at the gift card), and you'll be entered to win.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and for your Rotary friendship!
Ben Bauer
District Governor (2022-2023) | Rotary District 6250
