County Health Department Update
Please note the County Health Department is now strongly recommending that anyone over the age of two (2) wear a mask in public, indoor spaces AND at indoor, private gatherings. This guidance also applies to those who have been vaccinated.  Hand sanitizer will be at each table for your convenience. Meals will be plated and served to you.
This week at Rotary: Natural Burials with Sharon Berger, FSPA
Hear Sister Sharon Berger speak about the FSPA 2009 initiative to offer a natural burial cemetery on St. Joseph Ridge. The sisters can chose to be buried in a simple wooden container without embalming. To date, over 40 sisters have chosen this option and 16 have been buried with this alternative to traditional burials.
Last week at Rotary: Preventing Investment Fraud with Leslie Van Buskirk
Leslie M. Van Buskirk is an Administrator in the Division of Securities for the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. She shared examples of investment fraud that are happening today and ways we can protect ourselves from falling victim to these kinds of fraudulent activity.
New Administrator - Meet Robin Cosby
Robin is joining our Rotary family on August 2nd as our new Administrator. As a third generation La Crosse resident, Robin has deep roots in La Crosse and shares Rotary's passion for serving others with a special interest in social justice. In her "free" time, she enjoys spending time with her family in the out-of-doors - hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, bicycling and traveling.  Robin is working part-time until August 23rd when she will begin full-time.

Job Shadow Committee
The Job Shadow Committee is offering you the opportunity to promote your business and recruit potential employees. Through an application process, we will match and place accepted high school and/or college students in your business to take tours, meet with professionals in your business to learn about your industry, or develop a mentor/mentee opportunity.

The Rotary Club of La Crosse, the Dahl School of Business at Viterbo University, the Greater La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce, and area Interact clubs are engaged in partnering in the Rotary Job Shadow program.

We would like to initiate the Job Shadow program in September.  If you are interested in participating in the Rotary Club of La Crosse Job Shadow Committee or hosting a student, please contact Todd Ondell at todd.ondell@gmail.com.
