Our program last Thursday was Hope Academy. Presenter was Jamie Schloegel, Director of Development, Family and Children's Center and Amanda Jalensky. Hope Academy is a program of Family and Children's Center. The purpose of the Hope Academy is to ensure the long-term self-sufficiency and parenting capacity of teen parents and the healthy growth and development of their children. ROTARY LIGHTS will be the program this week. Pat Stephens will be our guest speaker. He will be presenting checks to a number of organizations that worked at Rotary Lights. Interact Clubs are being organized at Aquinas, Central, Logan and West Salem. Interactis Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18. New Sponsorship....Conductor Wannabe.....Rotary Connection...The La Crosse Symphony Orchestra introduced seven community volunteers competing for the opportunity to conduct the orchestra this spring. Conductor Wannabe format has changed this year! In the spirit of collaboration, they have asked each of the seven candidates to choose a non-profit organization that will receive ½ of the money they each raise during the campaign. This year, each “vote” is $2.00 – one dollar going to the LSO and the other dollar going to the candidates chosen charity. The winner and runner-up with the most votes received by April 28, 2015 will make their conducting debuts with the LSO on May 2, 2015. “The Conductor Wannabe competition is one of the symphony’s most anticipated annual fundraisers,” says Alexander Platt, Music Director. “The candidates spend a generous amount of time and effort into garnering community support and raising awareness of the great things we are doing at the LSO.” Click here to see the 2015 Conductor Wannabes or click on Josh Gates, Mike Desmond or Joe Kruse to donate.

Rotary Attendance policy is to attend or makeup at least 50% of the club meetings during the first six months and the second six months. They can be done by: • Attending regular club meetings • Making up meetings at other Rotary Clubs ( which includes E-Clubs) • Engaging in club projects/events/fellowship/board meetings.

On Thursday, April 2nd we will be meeting at the North Side School, 1611 Kane Street. We will have box lunches and there will be tours of the school. It is time to register for Tri-Con 2015, the multi-district Rotary conference for the entire state of Wisconsin and the very best parts of Minnesota too!
Register Prior to March 31st and registration fee will be discounted to $15.
Our club will reimburse $15 to the first 30 members that register early! Just give Lyn a copy of your registration confirmation and she will credit you $15 on your quarterly invoice in April.
Cards will be for sale before and after our Rotary Meeting.
Easter, Birthday, Wedding, Sympathy, Get Well, Anniversary, Congratulations, Note Cards and other cards will be available. All cards are unique and hand-made. Thank you cards are only $1.00, as are the note cards, which are blank inside. The regular cards are $2.00 and $3.00 each. Some cards are three for $5.00. Anita donates all sales to the Rotary Works Foundation!
