Last Week: Exchange Student, Agi
Our Rotary exchange student, Agi, arrived in August and is settling in well to the La Crosse area.
Come and learn where she comes from and how she became a part of the Rotary Exchange Program.
If you missed Agi's presentation, you can view it by clicking below.
Our Rotary team will be preparing a meal at Sheila Riley's home on Wednesday, February 12th. The second part of our team will make final preparation, serve, and clean up on Thursday, February 13th. All are welcome to dine with the guests. Project volunteers will be asked to provide a few ingredients for the meal.
If you are unable to assist in person, we are also asked to provide homemade desserts for the dinner. These desserts can be dropped off at our noon Rotary meeting on the 13th or by contacting Sheila Riley direct to make arrangements. Simple fall recipes will be provided for you to choose from.
The opportunity is sponsored by the Humanitarian Committee and the Cooking Fellowship.
Note: You don't have to be a Rotarian to sign up. Feel free to sign a friend or family member up with you if you wish!

TriCon brings together members from three Rotary International Districts: 6220, 6250, and 6270. These districts serve clubs in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a portion of Minnesota, and most of Wisconsin.
At TriCon, participants learn, are inspired, and grow through interactive workshops, plenary speakers, and networking opportunities. All this truly makes TriCon an outstanding Rotary conference experience.

Welcome to Week Four of RI’s Month of Vocational Service.
This week’s FM is culled from the monthly message of Trustee Chair of TRF,
Rotarian Mark Daniel Maloney, published in the current edition of Rotary (January, 2025). Maloney reminds all Rotarians of their foundation’s commitment
in the new year: “It is important to remember that we are in the middle of a major year for fund development. The Rotary Foundation has set an ambitious goal to grow Rotary's Endowment to $2.025 billion by this year, 2025. This will only be possible through the generous support of every person reading this message.… So many of us bring the insight of our professions into Rotary through Vocational Service.
The Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisers exemplifies this. These Rotary members use specialized skills to guide project planning, grant applications, and evaluations, ensuring the projects you fund and implement are sustainable and effective….The work of The Rotary Foundation, from safe water initiatives to literacy programs, depends on regular giving by our members. One convenient solution for many is Rotary Direct, which provides a simple way to make monthly, quarterly, or annual contributions. This empowers Rotary to plan effectively, respond promptly to urgent needs, and continue transforming lives….The Paul Harris Society, which honors those who contribute $1,000 or more annually, also strengthens the Foundation.
Paul Harris Society members, like Klumph society members and Rotary Direct contributors, embody the spirit of sustained giving….When setting your personal goals for this year, remember that by supporting The Rotary Foundation, you extend your impact worldwide. Every contribution — no matter the size — adds to the momentum driving meaningful change. So, as we enter 2025, let us reaffirm our commitment to The Rotary Foundation….By combining our efforts and our giving with others in our great organization, we can truly say that no matter our vocation or location, we are contributing to a global force for good.”
