I hope to see you on Tuesday (February 19th) for our Club’s monthly Fellowship event (held the 3rd Tuesday of every month). The “Champagne Studio Tour” event will begin at 5:30pm and will be held at Eva Marie Restel’s Art Studio. Please come if you are able (even if you didn’t pre-register.) The event is at our house – 227 Losey Blvd N. which is on the corner of Losey Blvd and Vine Street. You and your spouse/significant other/partner are welcome.
Shortly after last week’s program by Shaundel Spivey, I was forwarded a link to a TED talk by one of our Club members. This 14.5 minute video by Mellody Hobson is entitled “Color Blind or Color Brave?” This is worth watching and is a great continuation of the conversation that Shaundel started with us last Thursday. Color Blind or Color Brave Link
As a reminder, Eva Marie and I want to treat each member of our club to either a breakfast, lunch or dinner during my year as Rotary president. You are welcome to bring your spouse or significant other. If you have a family with kids and want to bring them, then we will set something up at our home that will be child friendly. Please reach out to either one of us and we will get a meal on the calendars.
I have two final notes. One, please invite a potential member to join us at this week’s meeting. We have funds set aside to cover the cost of your visitor. Two, if you have recommendations for future links in our newsletter, please email those to me. I love discovering new areas of interest from other people that I respect. I also take music requests for the exit song after our meeting is officially adjourned.
Don’t forget that our meeting location has changed this week!
