Our speaker will be Lucas Herro..His journey since his diving accident in 2013. Boating with friends on the Black River one minute, the next left Lucas facing his own mortality. Lucas broke his C-5 vertebrae severely damaging his spinal cord.

Interact Clubs are being organized at Aquinas, Central, Logan and West Salem. Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance. Do you have a a child, grandchild, niece, nephew or someone you know that attends any of the schools that would enjoy making new friends and developing leadership skills while helping others? Talk to them about joining Interact.
West Salem has already been meeting...they helped at the Come for Supper meal ...what a great bunch of hard working young people!
I have listed the contacts for each school below.
Central's first meeting is planned for Thursday, March 5th at 7 am in room 224. They will have breakfast for the students and will set up future meetings from that point on. Contact Matt Boshcka - mattboshcka@yahoo.com or Thad Anderson - tjanderson@apacmail.com for more information.

We welcomed Roz Schnick to our club on January 29th. Her classification is Seafood Safety - Consulting. She is the owner of R oz Schnick Consulting LLC. Her late husband, Ron was a long time member of East. Roz is anxious to start giving back in honor of Ron. Welcome Roz!
Remember to meet and greet new members who can be identified by their temporary red badge.

On Thursday, February 26th we will be meeting at Piggy's ....501 Front Street. Buffet will begin at 11:30 and meeting at Noon.
On Thursday, April 2nd we will be meeting at the Northside School, 1611 Kane Street. We will have box lunches and there will be tours of the school.

We have started the second half of this Rotary year. Our District had a good start to the year and we are about halfway to our 2014-15 goal. At your next club meeting, please ask your club members to continue to support The Rotary Foundation in their charitable giving. Our Foundation is what enables us to work toward polio eradication, to fund sustainable educational and humanitarian grant programs, and to foster world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Members can donate by sending checks to The Rotary Foundation or online using Rotary Direct for one time or recurring gifts at www.Rotary.org/give. Please share in your clubs the following benefits a Rotary Foundation gift can give:
$1 can purchase two doses of polio vaccine
$10 can purchase mosquito netting for a bed
$25 can purchase a school uniform for a child in a developing country
$50 can furnish a water filter to help provide clean water to a village
$100 can provide a sewing machine enabling someone to develop skills to launch a clothing business
$500 could purchase a dairy cow for a village

It is time to register for Tri-Con 2015, the multi-district Rotary conference for the entire state of Wisconsin and the very best parts of Minnesota too!
Register Prior to March 31st and registration fee will be discounted to $15.
Our club will reimburse $15 to the first 30 members that register early! Just give Lyn a copy of your registration confirmation and she will credit you $15 on your quarterly invoice in April.
They are planning two full days (Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16) of Rotary fun and fellowship, with a closing breakfast on Sunday, May 17. The preliminary schedule includes the following:

Cards will be for sale before and after our Rotary Meeting.
 Valentine, Birthday, Wedding, Sympathy, Get Well, Anniversary, Congratulations, Note Cards and other cards will be available. All cards are unique and hand-made. Thank you cards are only $1.00, as are the note cards, which are blank inside. The regular cards are $2.00 and $3.00 each. Some cards are three for $5.00. Anita donates all sales to the Rotary Works Foundation!
