The County Health Department is strongly recommending that anyone over the age of two (2) wear a mask in public indoor spaces AND at indoor private gatherings. This guidance also applies to those who have been vaccinated. Hand sanitizer will be at each table for your convenience. Meals will be plated and served to you.
This Week at Rotary: Paul Harris Celebration and Presentation
Paul Harris presentation awards led by Dean Dickenson, Patt Boge, and Catherine Kolkmeier.
Paul Harris awards celebrate the generous giving of our members and reflect the impact that the people in our club are giving to our community, country, and the world.
Judson Steinback is a co-owner and founder of Coulee Region Ecoscapes (CRE). CRE provides sustainable landscaping, the highest standards of workmanship and respect for the environment. Judson and his team were leaders on the Food Forest at the Dahl YMCA and the Edible Schoolyard at Hamilton Elementary School, both of which offer free, local food in opportunity zones in
La Crosse.
Now, CRE is the leading project design and installer for the Renew the Block project in which our Rotary Club of La Crosse will be helping to fundraise for the pollinator patches. Judson and his team have extensive knowledge on what native plant species to grow in certain locations, how to grow them and why we should all be incorporating more pollinator-friendly plants into our landscapes.
The meal will be a turkey sandwich and hearty vegetable soup.
Announcement: Milk and iced tea will be available for you to pick up at the north bar as you find your seat. Cargill Room staff will also be happy to deliver a glass of milk or iced tea to you while they're serving the meal.
Note: If you prefer to keep your mask on during the entire meeting, the Cargill Room can provide you with a boxed lunch to take home with you - but we need to know in advance. Please email rotary@rotarycluboflacrosse.org.
2021 Annual Report
The annual report is published form Rotary. Follow the link below for the full report.
With the current state of the Omicron variant, the STAR Committee has decided to cancel the January STAR meeting. Jodi Widuch will be reaching out to those who have attended in the recent past, plus any new Rotarians since the last meeting, to schedule a one-on-one phone call/video call over the next month. Thank you for understanding.
Invoices
We are in the process of sending out Quarter 2 invoices. Quarter 2 in the "Rotary" year is October - December (sorry, we're behind). We will be sending out Quarter 3 invoices (for January - March) soon which will get us back on track with our normal invoicing schedule. Thank you for your patience!
