Life is full of challenges. When our friends or family face difficulties we easily respond to them with kindness and compassion. Yet we are often harsh and unkind toward ourselves when we face similar challenges. Cindy will share ways we can use the research and practice of self compassion to be kinder and gentler with ourselves, and bring more happiness into our lives as a result.
It was great seeing many of you face to face as we started our in person meetings last week.
The program was the Changing of the Guards where we welcomed the new president and board members. Sarah Arendt-Beyer is our Rotary president for this Rotary year (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022).
We will still be sending out a Zoom link each week to all Rotarians.

Here's a great chance to share a favorite children's book with children in the YMCA summer programs. The YMCA is highlighting Rotarians this summer during their reading program.
The children are early elementary school students, so a picture book or two is best. They are planning 20-30 minutes for this activity.
Dates, times and locations can be seen in the sign-up. You can sign up for just one date or a few.
